SUPPORTING CAPITAL REGION RESTAURANTS AND RESTAURANT WORKERS EFFECTED BY COVID-19
Make a donation today and help the Capital Region Restaurant Fund provide supplemental financial support for struggling bar and restaurant employees who are out of work due to a COVID-19 positive diagnosis or mandatory quarantine and to provide limited financial support to local restaurant owner/operators whose establishments have been forced to close temporarily due to staff who have tested positive or are under mandatory quarantine.
Who Qualifies?
To qualify you must be either a.) a current employee of a bar or restaurant in Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga or Rensselaer county, be under a mandatory quarantine or temporarily out of work due to a COVID-19 related closure of your establishment or b.) a local owner & operator of a bar or restaurant that has had to shut down temporarily due to an employee or employees testing positive for COVID-19 or as a result of employees being placed under mandatory quarantine.
How it Works
Restaurant employees and owner/operators submit a request for assistance on our website. Volunteers will review the application to make sure it qualifies and may request additional information and documentation to verify an application. Once an application has been qualified & verified it is submitted to a review board for a decision. Applications are reviewed once a week on a first come, first serve basis. The amount of financial assistance provided will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the needs of the applicant, the applicant’s access to other financial support such as unemployment, FCCRA paid leave, paid sick leave, disability and the amount of available CRRF funds.
